About Valli Produce
Valli Produce

Three hardworking immigrants from southern Italy established Valli Produce in 1989. Alfredo Presta came to America in 1966 and became involved in the produce business, opening a small produce market in the city. Later, in 1970 when his nephews, Lou Tenuta and Frank Chilelli emigrated from Italy, the three, combined with their entrepreneurial spirit, pooled their assets and opened Valli Produce.

Valli Produce is aptly named after its founders' former home, a small farm town in southern Italy. Afredo, Lou and Frank all have bittersweet recollections of both the joys and difficulties of life in their former hometown. It was those experiences though, that shaped their work ethic and ensured their success. Building Valli Produce into the booming marketplace that it today has never been a simple task, but quality and hard work have prevailed and the family's dream of success in America has come true.
